LILITH 2010 ALERT: Additional Details Announced Regarding The Lilith Local Talent Search

While a large number of diverse artists have already been confirmed to join the 2010 Lilith Tour (with more major announcements coming), the search continues for the best emerging acts across North America via the Lilith Local Talent Search. Today, Lilith and OurStage.com reveal further details about the contest, including when voting begins, when winners are announced and how the fans of the Lilith Tour can help determine who wins.

Since the initial announcement of the Lilith Local Talent Search in November ‘09, nearly 2,000 artists have already entered in hopes of winning an opportunity of a lifetime, a spot on the Village Stage in their city, a stage that once featured Christina Aguilera, Nelly Furtado and Tegan and Sara. Those aspiring musicians who have yet to enter have only February and March left to create their profile page and upload an original song for judging via www.ourstage.com/go/lilith.

A major component of the OurStage.com platform is its ability to celebrate community by allowing music fans, and more specifically Lilith fans, to have a voice in the selection process. By registering as a “fan” at www.ourstage.com/go/lilith, music lovers discover the best new music from new artists and ultimately are able to vote for who they’d like to see on the Artist Stage in their city.

“Being a part of Lilith Fair was inspiring on so many levels. Besides discovering new music everyday and sharing the stage with an incredible array of talented women, it was wonderful to see established and new artists alike have the opportunity to play in front of much larger or more diverse audiences than usual. With that in mind, I am thrilled to announce the first set of artists for Lilith 2010.”

2010 Lilith Tour and OurStage.com Announce "Lilith Local Talent Search"

Since the news of Lilith’s return has spread, the interest from emerging musicians to be a part of the tour has been astounding. Today, the Lilith 2010 tour is pleased to announce a new partnership with OurStage.com, the music discovery destination dedicated to new artist and new music discovery. Lilith and OurStage will run the “Lilith Local Talent Search,” an exciting contest to find the next best emerging female musicians across North America.

A winner will be chosen for each N. American city the tour visits, and that winner will have the opportunity to perform a set in their city on the Village Stage with other emerging artists. Ten years ago, that same stage featured artists like Christina Aguilera, Nelly Furtado and Tegan and Sara. Furthermore, the OurStage platform involves members of the local communities by allowing them to be a part of the selection process in their cities.
