Wanting Premieres New Video For "Drenched"

Chinese born, Vancouver-based songstress Wanting has just premiered a new video for the song "Drenched" from her debut album, Everything In The World. The video had its broadcast debut on MuchMore Music in Canada, and its online debut at MuchMusic.com (here).

Wanting, who was recently recognized at the 2012 Best Album of the Year at the Beijing Billmoard Music Newcomers Festival as well as honored as Outstanding Regional Artist at the 12th Chinese Global Music Awards, will be a featured artist at San Francisco's Asian Heritage Street Celebration on Saturday, May 18.  Everything In The World is currently Triple Platinum in China and Hong Kong and Platinum in Malaysia and Taiwan. Watch the video for "Drenched" above and stay tuned for more news from Wanting.

Nettwerk Label Artists Morgan Page, Wanting and Angus Stone Nominated For 2013 Independent Music Awards!

Nominees for the 12th Annual Independent Music Awards (IMAs) were announced yesterday, and three Nettwerk recording artists received nods: Morgan Page (Dance/Electronica Album), Wanting (Adult Contemporary Album) and Angus Stone (Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album). Additionally, Nettwerk CEO Terry McBride is one of the many esteemed judges on the panel, which also includes industry vets and influential artists like Tom Waits, Kathleen Brennan, Suzanne Vega, Anthony DeCurtis (Rolling Stone) and Kevin Lyman (Vans Warped Tour).

According to the official press release from the IMAs, "more than 80 Album, Song, Music Video and Design categories were culled from thousands of submissions from North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, Greenland and Europe."  Read the full official press release HERE.

Wanting Takes CNN On A Tour Of Harbin, China

CNN Travel recently caught up with Wanting in her hometown of Harbin, aka China's ice city. The Chinese superstar takes viewers on a journey through the multiple winter activities the city offers, including the Harbn Ice & Snow World, where each winter, 2,000 ice castles, ice palaces and ice slides are built and lit up with LED lights. Watch Wanting Perform "You Exist In My Song" On CCTV's New Year Gala In China

After a hugely successful year in and around China, Wanting was invited to perform her hit single "You Exist In My Song" at CCTV's New Year Gala in China. This televised celebration of the Chinese New Year is th emost watched television program in the world, with 700 million viewers in Mainland China alone. The Vancouver-based, Chinese-born singer/songwriter performed the track as a duet with famous Chinese actor, Du Chin. Watch it above. 

Wanting Continues To Sweep Various Chinese Music Awards

The accolades have continue to pour in for Chinese-born, Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Wanting, who released her debut album Everything In The World last summer. In addition to going Triple Platinum in China and Hong Kong and Platinumin Malaysia and Taiwan, Wanting has swept the board in most of the various 2012 Chinese Music Awards in the People's Republic of China, where numerous Annual Music Award Events occur each year, some with glamourous high profile TV ceremonies and all with varying degrees of media/public importance. One of the most acclaimed and respected awards are the Zhong Ge Bang (Chinese Songs Billboard Awards), where Wanting won the honor of Best Newcomer and Best Song for "You Exist In My Song." Wanting is also expected to take home top honors in the upcoming Yin Yue Feng Yun Bang, the important Chinese Music Radio Awards, which will announce winners in April. Wanting has achieved the unusual feat of a mainland Chinese artist--winning support from both independent and mainstream pop music fans.

Nettwerk Artists Score iTunes “Best Of 2012” Spots Around The Globe

Nettwerk Music Group is excited to share that iTunes has named three of its artists in their “Best of 2012” round-ups in various territories around the globe: fun., Passenger and Wanting.

Nettwerk Management client fun. claims “Best Song of 2012” on the U.S. iTunes store for their smash single “We Are Young (feat. Janelle Monáe).” The track has sold nearly 6 million copies, with the video boasting more than 157 million YouTube views. The trio, who released their debut album Aim And Ignite on Nettwerk Records in 2009, recently received six GRAMMY nominations for their breakthrough album, Some Nights (Fueled By Ramen). Passenger, one of the latest additions to Nettwerk’s label roster, grabs the “Best Singer/Songwriter Album of 2012” in the UK iTunes store for his latest album, All The Little Lights. The UK-born troubadour (real name Mike Rosenberg) has spent the last year playing sold-out headline gigs around the globe, as well as opening for Ed Sheeran in North America and the UK. His break-out single “Let Her Go” has over 4 million YouTube views and continues to see track sales upwards of 2,000 copies a week. In the U.S., All The Little Lights is in its 15th straight week on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.
