Brian Willaims sure does love him some Great Lake Swimmers. The renown NBC News anchor has championed the band on Late Night with JImmy Fallon and had Tony Dekker by the 30 Rock studios to record an episode of Mr.Williams' infamous BriTunes video blog on MSNBC.
This weekend in Vancouver for the 2010 Olympic Games, Brian Williams could be seen sidestage at the Swimmers' Ontario Pavilion showcase, singing along to every song. After the show the band got a chance to chat with Brian and snap a few pics for their respective scrapbooks.
See the broadcast television premiere of Sarah McLachlan's video for "One Dream" on Sunday January 24 at 9/8c during the 2010 AT& T U.S. Figure Skating Championships and Countdown to the Vancouver Olympics on NBC.
Written in the spirit of the Olympics, "One Dream" is inspired by the athletes of the world as they strive to reach their Olympic goals. Reflecting on the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Games, McLachlan remarks, "I am thrilled to be a part of the Olympics celebration. Lead vocalist Kreesha Turner stopped by Much's hugely popular talk show, Much On Demand to chat with host Sarah Taylor about how the collaboration came together and premiere the fantastic new video. As the leaves turned to many shades of lovely this fall, the Great Lake Swimmers were on tour for the second time this year in the US. Norwegian rockers Datarock appeared on Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit" this week, where they performed "True Stories" and "The Pretender" from their latest album Red.
The band is currently on the last leg of their 6-week North American tour and are preparing to head back to Europe for a slew of dates before they travel Australia early next year.
