BT Set To Release Anticipated New Single "The Emergency" With Remixes September 28

Light years ahead-of-the-curve, both musically and technologically, BT releases the hotly anticipated new single “THE EMERGENCY” from his critically acclaimed studio album, THESE HOPEFUL MACHINES (Nettwerk/Black Hole) on September 28th, 2010. Featuring BT’s own vocals, the single is a compelling and powerful pop song showcasing BT’s renowned production and recording skills. “THE EMERGENCY” is a bona fide hit, ascending rapidly up the radio and club charts.

BT - The Emergency (Radio Edit) by Nettwerk Albums

“THE EMERGENCY” EP contains 13 remixes, led by five separate edits by the hit-making producer, DAVE AUDÉ, and three edits by EDM golden child, MORGAN PAGE. The DAVE AUDÉ Remix takes the meat from the original and morphs it into a soaring composition characterized by a clean acoustic piano progression that mirrors the chorus, all the while keeping BT’s vocals front-and-center. The DAVE AUDÉ Radio and DAVE AUDÉ Mixshow edits are suited perfectly for commercial radio. The DAVE AUDÉ Club Dub accentuates the groove of the single, while the DAVE AUDÉ Dub further strips down the track to its bass-driven elements.

Styrofoam Announces Brand New Album Out October 12

Belgium-based indie-electro pop artist Styrofoam (aka Arne Van Petegem) is set to release his new full-length album Disco Synthesizers & Daily Tranquilizers on October 12. The first single, “Get Smarter,” will be out August 24, along with five remixes of the track and b-side “Kids On Acid,” featuring Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols on drums. Get the free download of "Kids On Acid" below!

Disco Synthesizers & Daily Tranquilizers (named after a line in Elvis Costello’s classic "This Year's Girl") introduces a different Styrofoam, one with a harder edge and darker sound. Co-produced and mixed by Wally Gagel (Eels, Folk Implosion, Muse) of WAX LTD, he and Arne set out to produce a timeless electronic album inspired by classics like New Order, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, and their shared love for early Electro Hiphop and Postpunk. The album’s beats and keys were recorded directly to analogue tape, shunning the usual ProTools trickery of all previous Styrofoam releases. In addition to the Sex Pistol’s Paul Cook on drums for “Kids On Acid,” the album also features guest drums from Devo’s Alan Myers on “Believe Everything” and Jimmy Eat World vocalist Jim Adkins on “Extra Careful.”

Electronic Music Pioneer DJ Dan Set To Release Debut Artist Album 'Future Retro' On Sept 14

DJ Dan releases his long awaited debut artist album Future Retro on September 14th. DJ Dan first stepped behind the decks in 1989, and 20 years later he’s still one of the most prolific and successful DJs performing in front of thousands. The aptly titled album, Future Retro is a 2-part conceptual project that is both a retrospective reminder of dance music’s early days and a suggestion of its future. To be released August 24, the next single, “Fascinated,” is a much-admired tune reworked with a twist that nods graciously to the sounds of tomorrow. DJ Dan preserves the track’s original vocals and big drops with new bass-hooks and four-to-the-floor sensibilities for good measure. It adds up to the perfect good-time anthem and will be a summer hit once more - reborn and reworked for the latest generation of beat-hungry obsessives.

St. Lola In The Fields Set To Release Debut 'High Atop The Houses And The Towns' Oct 5

Nettwerk is excited to officially announce the signing of alt-pop duo St. Lola In The Fields. Their debut full-length High Atop The Houses And The Towns will be released on October 5; first single “Hold Me” will be available for purchase on September 7. Listen below to “Hold Me,” which was recently featured in an episode of Pretty Little Liars.

St. Lola In The Fields - Hold Me by nettwerkmusicgroup

St. Lola In The Fields is comprised of Cindy Brouwer and Jeremy Bose, two veteran songwriters who found themselves writing songs they loved, but weren’t designed to be commercially popular. St. Lola was born in 2007 to give those songs a stage. Brouwer and Bose began working on an EP, Little Breaks/Little Bends, and performing live together when schedules allowed. Both writers appreciated the break St. Lola gave them from all the voices that weighed in on the creation of music industry songs.

“For the first time in my life,” enthuses Bose, “I’m writing songs I really, really love and not giving them away.” Brouwer adds, “For us radio wasn’t even a concern. Every time we got together to write it was like dessert. It didn’t feel like work at all.”

Griffin House Releases New Song And Video, "Head For The Hills," Inspired By Recent Events in Nashville and The Gulf Coast

After having just released his third full-length album The Learner last week, Griffin House has released a brand new song inspired by the recent events in Nashville and the Gulf of Mexico called "Head For The Hills."

A note from Griffin House on "Head For The Hills":
“I sat in my bedroom and wrote “Head For The Hills” while the rain pounded Nashville and caused the city to flood. When I saw the destruction in the aftermath and thought about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, my mind wanted to make sense of all the natural and man made disaster that seems to be occurring at an unusual pace, and my heart wanted to sing relief into the hearts of the people who have suffered loss from these disasters. I headed to Louisiana to capture some images of the land and the people in the midst of their stories."

"Head For The Hills" is available for purchase on iTunes HERE, and The Learner is in-stores now on iTunes and Amazon
