State Radio's Chad Stokes Is A Featured Blogger On Huffington Post!

State Radio's Chad Stokes has become a featured and regular contributor to the Huffington Post's Impact -- a new featured section in association with Causecast.org that is dedicated to cause-related news. Other contributors include Huff Post creator Arianna Huffington, Blake Mycoskie of TOMS shoes, Rosario Dawson, and many more with the goal of focusing its readers on being active within their communities.

Chad Stokes and State Radio are not only known for their raucous live show, but are also avid social activists. Stokes co-founded the humanitarian group Calling All Crows, which was created to serve as the band's platform for social change. The mission is to mobilize musicians and their fans to promote human rights through social action. While on tour, State Radio participate in pre-show community service projects. Like Rage Against The Machine and System Of A Down before them, State Radio roll up their sleeves as they practice what they preach, whether it’s riding bikes to gigs to support Bikes Not Bombs, hosting food drives in conjunction with Rock For A Remedy, adopting portions of beaches to ensure they are cleaned regularly, or playing shows to raise money for the Learning Center for the Deaf. Currently, the band is on tour behind their newly released album Let It Go and has been teaming up with local non-profit groups along the way, recruiting fans to join them in service like habitat restoration, sustainability tours and teach-ins.
