Mark Hoppus

Last month, Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 teamed up with Spin.com for a weekly column "Hopp on Pop: Mark Hoppus' Pick of the Week."  One of the first bands he chose was none other than fun., and this week he went with another Nettwerk band: The Weepies!

When asked why The Weepies rock, Hoppus explained, ""'Rock' might not be the right word, but they definitely rule... the Weepies are folksy, indie-rocky, singery/songwritery little three-minute pieces of awesome. Quiet, acoustic, luscious and beautiful. Great late-night music."

Nate, Jack and Andrew of fun., who just wrapped up another successful round of tour dates, launched a brand new website this week at www.ournameisfun.com. They hooked up with Facebook so that fans can log-in and interact with everything they post. The site certainly lives up to the band's name. Make sure to scroll over the guys' heads for a glimpse into their deepest thoughts!

In his new series for Spin.com, "Hopp On Pop," Blink 182's Mark Hoppus chose fun. as his Pick of the Week today! Each week Hoppus is sharing his favorite up-and-coming bands with Spin.com readers. On why fun. rocks, Hoppus says, "These are great, great pop songs and they just take it into outer space. Hopefully we can work on something in the future because I'm so inspired listening to Nate [Ruess]. I'm really impressed -- and a little jealous of how his spectrum is so broad."
